Kambu Veg Soup / Bajra Veg Soup / Sajjalu Veg Soup / Kambam Veg Soup

INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 tbsp bajra flour
  • 2-3 cup water
  • Some green peas
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1/2 capsicum
  • Some cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup french beans
  • 1 tomato (you can also add corns and mushrooms)
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • Pink salt to taste
  • Chilli flakes
  • Spiced mixed herbs
  • Black pepper powder

STEPS

  1. Add some water to bajra flour and make a lump free paste.
  2. In a bowl, add 1.5 cup water and heat it.
  3. Once it starts to boil, add the bajra paste and mix it.
  4. Cook bajra flour on low heat for 5-6 minutes and stir it continuously.
  5. In another pan, add some oil and  add the chopped garlic and saute it.
  6. Add beans and peas and cook on low heat , add all veggies and cook on low heat.
  7. Once the bajra is cooked, add the mixture to the veggies.
  8. Don’t overcook the veggies, keep them crunchy.
  9. Add more water as per requirement (Don’t add cold water)
  10. Add tomatoes in the end to ensure they retain their texture.
  11. Add chilli flakes and salt and mix well and cook until the mixture comes to a boil.
  12. Add the mixed herbs, black pepper and spice mixture(optional).
  13. Transfer the soup to a serving bowl.
