Kelveragu Semiya / Ragulu Semiya/ Nachani Semiya / Ragi Semiya
INGREDIENTS:
- Ragi vermicelli – 1 cup
- Grated coconut- 4 cup
- Sugar – 3 tbsp
- Cardamom powder –1/4 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp (to grease steaming plate)
STEPS:
- In a bowl add ragi semiya. Add water just to immerse semiya. Allow the semiya to soak in water for 3 minutes.
- Meanwhile heat water in idli steamer and grease the steaming plate with few drops of oil.
- After 3 minutes transfer the semiya to greased plate and steam it for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes take steamed vermicelli out of the steamer and allow it to cool down.
- When the vermicelli has cooled a bit make sure they do not stick to each other. Gently fluff it with hands or fork.
- Now for the sweet semiya take half of the steamed ragi vermicelli in a bowl, to it add grated coconut, sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well and serve it!
NOTE:
- Instead of sugar add salt and chilly.
